Stepping into our 11th year of fragrance creation, we are honored to unveil one of our most groundbreaking and distinctive creations to date, marking the dawn of a new chapter in our olfactory journey. Building on the success of Eau de Nyonya and Tabac Cha Cha, this extrait once again celebrates local culture and culinary heritage in the form of luxurious fine fragrance. What sets this scent apart is its bold identity as a savory gourmand, which is an unusual interpretation that ventures beyond the realm of conventional sugary or dessert-like gourmands. From the first encounter, it instantly transports you to a vibrant world of cultural richness, inviting you to savor the timeless artistry of its cuisine and immerse yourself in its living heritage. Imagine unwrapping a packet of traditional “nasi lemak”, with the captivating aroma of fresh pandan leaf, banana leaf, fresh coconut milk, and jasmine rice, brightened by crisp cucumber, and enriched with the fragrant accents of peanuts, anchovies, and chili peppers, completing this remarkably authentic “nasi lemak” accord. This scent composition also presents a distinctive “lemang” accord, capturing the essence of this cherished local delicacy. Imagine glutinous rice infused with freshly pressed coconut milk, wrapped in tender banana leaves, and slowly fire-roasted within bamboo logs. This rich and authentic scent portrait is brought to life through the complex and precise blending techniques and the meticulous use of quality raw materials. What makes this scent composition even more exciting and intriguing is the introduction of a truly innovative raw material, the maman leaf. Through our proprietary natural extract, it forms the heart of the “rendang maman” accord. In this accord, the humble maman leaf transcends its culinary roots, blossoming into a fragrant emblem of memory, heritage, and place, capturing the soul of a culture within scent. With the infusion of turmeric, chili, fresh coconut milk, and young coconut water, the “rendang maman” accord unfolds as an eccentric yet irresistibly addictive evocation, layered with savory richness and umami depth. Its complexity weaves through and blends harmoniously with the other two main accords, much like the way “rendang maman” finds its perfect companions within the gastronomic tradition from which this composition draws its inspiration. From this savory heart, the composition unfolds further, revealing layers of the intoxicating creaminess of tuberose and the velvety elegance of iris and orris butter, enriching the scent with luminous vibrancy and refined depth. All of this finally settles upon a noble foundation of sandalwood, illuminated by the radiance of finely aged ambergris and complemented by the sensual veil of musk. In this way, the composition unfolds as a journey from the eccentric savor of tradition to the refined poetics of fine perfumery. If you have cherished our previous creations inspired by local culture and heritage, such as Eau de Nyonya and Tabac Cha Cha, this extrait surely earns its place as a connoisseur’s treasure, an uncommon composition meticulously crafted to satisfy your craving for a unique, original, and unforgettable scent experience.
Due to the nature and quality of the raw materials used, the scent will continue to age beautifully in the bottle with time when properly stored. It is normal to have some sediments/separations in this scent due to the nature of the raw materials used. Just gently shake well before applying it.
