Authentic custom-distilled oud oils are dosed generously in each composition of the Imperial Oud Collection, pairing fine oud oils with other phenomenal essences to create the most luxurious scents that befit royalty.
Introducing Oud Sumeragi, inspired by the timeless elegance of the wisteria, a flower deeply rooted in Japan's cultural heritage. During the Heian period, nobles would gather beneath flowering wisteria trellises for seasonal banquets, immersing themselves in the spectacle of the cascading blossoms and their ethereal perfume. Long celebrated as a symbol of nobility and elegance, the wisteria has inspired countless works of Japanese literature, poetry, painting and decorative arts throughout the centuries. To this day, every spring its luminous cascades still transform temples, shrines and gardens across Japan, drawing visitors from near and far to witness its majestic beauty. In this scent composition, we capture the delicately spiced and intoxicating fragrance of the wisteria in a bottle and pair it with our proprietary mélange of genuine artisanal oud oils, each meticulously selected for its natural harmony with the composition. Among them are rare wild oud oils aged for up to 15 years, lending depth and richness to the floral heart. A distinctive touch of Japanese Umeshu plum liqueur imparts a delicate radiance, with its subtle fruitiness illuminating the wisteria while blending seamlessly with the aged oud oils. Together, they create a sophisticated accord that is multilayered yet remarkably harmonious, voluptuous and exquisitely rounded. The scent ultimately settles upon a refined foundation of Mysore sandalwood, orris butter, ambergris and musk, leaving behind a lingering trail of elegance and sophistication.
Due to the nature and quality of the raw materials used, the scent will continue to age beautifully in the bottle with time when properly stored. A whopping 40% concentration of pure perfume oil in this extrait provides the most luxurious experience while remains easy to use at the same time. A little goes a long way. It is normal to have some sediments/separations in this scent due to the nature of the raw materials used. Just gently shake well before applying it.
