Indulge in an artisanal olfactory artwork that seamlessly blends the rich heritage of Baba-Nyonya culture with the sophistication of East-meets-West perfumery artistry. This one-of-a-kind scent composition transcends time and tradition, evoking the essence of sophistication and opulence while paying homage to the iconic Baba-Nyonya dessert, Bubur Cha Cha. Crafted as a harmonious blend of meticulously selected raw materials, this scent composition offers an unforgettable sensory journey that bridges cultures. The journey begins with our specially curated finely-aged tobacco and delicate tobacco flower that intertwine gracefully and set a robust and rich foundation for the overall scent composition. The leaves are carefully cured, sweated, fermented and finally aged for years before they are extracted and processed for perfumery use, resulting in a sophisticated impression of refined, uncloying sweetness with notes of raisins, new mown hay, dried fruits and an intriguing whisky-like booziness, while the flower brings an elegant touch of exotic floralcy that elevates and contrasts nicely with the darker tobacco notes. Meanwhile, the malt whisky further adds to the opulence of the tobacco main body, where it lends a complex olfactory profile to the scent composition: fruity, malty, oaky and peaty with a gentle touch of sensual smouldering smoke. Crafted with an image of a unique Baba-Nyonya inspired cocktail in mind, we take a creative approach by bringing together Western whiskies and Baba-Nyonya’s signature Bubur Cha Cha. Here in this scent composition, a specially developed natural fresh pandan leaf extract is used to build the base of our Bubur Cha Cha accord, together with old-fashioned coconut milk that nostalgically reminds us of the traditional type extracted from freshly grated coconut. In addition, ripe banana, sweet potato, taro yam and pearl sago are among the main ingredients that complete the Bubur Cha Cha accord, while coconut nectar caramel is smoothly swirled into the concoction, adding a complex, deep, creamy richness to the overall accord. As the scent settles, a bed of exquisite base notes consisting of agarwood oud, white sandalwood, oak wood, orris butter and creamy musk creates a long-lasting, suave and velvety trail. What even makes this scent composition truly one-of-a-kind is that, inspired by the art of whisky making, this scent is finished and matured in specially curated sherry-seasoned oak, French oak and bourbon oak which lends a unique combination of notes to the composition that harmoniously blends with the other materials used. Upon maturing in the oaks, refined and luscious notes of vanilla bean, toffee, honeyed fruits, toasted nuts, mocha, baked apple tart, brioche, coconut cream, light spices and dark woods are imparted to the final scent, resulting in a vivid and rich effect of luxurious fine whiskies aged in multiple oak casks for years if not decades.
