Introducing Oud Binturong – a special-edition oud-enhanced reincarnation of our original Binturong. While Oud Binturong inherits all of the signature traits of the much-loved original Binturong launched more than 6 years ago, what make this special edition a truly one-of-a-kind composition are the upgradation of the raw materials used as well as the introduction of our proprietary melange of authentic artisanal oud oils in this latest composition. The artisanal oud used in this scent are custom-developed and carefully selected with olfactory profiles that best suit the composition, including a series of finely aged wild vintage oud that remarkably enhances the overall composition, adding much-appreciated depth, complexity and richness to the scent. Apart from the generously dosed artisanal oud, Oud Binturong inherits the beautiful heart of original Binturong, featuring the exotic cannonball flower – one of the most significant cultural symbols in the Southeast Asian region – that defines the olfactory characters of the scent composition and imparts an eccentric tropical quality to it. Over the years we have been constantly curating and developing our very own arsenal of rare essences and unconventional raw materials to be used in each of our olfactory work. Oud Binturong is no exception. Rare cannonball flower and finely aged artisanal oud are blended in harmony, further supported by white sandalwood, frankincense and vetiver. Last but not least, to elaborate the theme of binturong, we introduced a tailor-made melange of animalistic notes into the composition, featuring our specially developed “binturong accord”. Binturong is an iconic, sacred, and rare animal species native to Southeast Asia. This adorable creature is known for the excretion of its signature buttered-popcorn-like aroma with a warm, subtly musky undertone. In this composition, the binturong musk along with other animalistic notes forms a warm, sensual, soothing cocoon that gently wraps around the composition body, exalting the precious artisanal oud and other rare essences as the scent gradually unfurls while adding that ever-so-lasting coda to the composition that seems to go on and on as the scent approaches its dry-down. With the complexity and richness of the composition, Oud Binturong is no doubt a one-of-a-kind, intimate olfactory experience beyond words. Due to the nature and quality of the raw materials used, the scent will age beautifully in the bottle with time when properly stored.
A whopping 40% concentration of pure perfume oil in this extrait provides the most luxurious experience while remains easy to use at the same time. It is normal to have some sediments/separations in this scent due to the nature of the raw materials used. Just gently shake well before applying it.
